Tools for playerswho take it seriously.
Free airsoft calculators, tables and references. Fast, readable, honest — no paywall, no tracking.
Joule Calculator
Convert spring, BB weight and velocity into joules and FPS. Compare every BB weight, pick the right ammo and check legal limits across major European countries.
Open the calculator →Spring Upgrade
Got an M100 reading 311 FPS? Mentally swap springs and see what M120, M130 or beyond would actually do. Preserves your real gearbox efficiency and projects expected velocity and energy.
Plan the upgrade →Effective Range
Estimate the realistic effective range of your replica based on joules, BB weight and hop quality. Returns a low–high band plus a comparison table across all BB weights.
Estimate range →Battery Runtime
How long does your LiPo or NiMH actually last? Plug in capacity, motor draw and play style and get realistic runtime — not the datasheet promise.
Estimate runtime →ROF Calculator
BBs per second from motor, battery voltage and gear ratio. Compare torque-up, standard and high-speed setups.

Frequently asked questions
Quick answers about airsoft calculators and FPS limits
Are these airsoft calculators free?▾
Yes. Every calculator on Tattica Six is completely free, runs in your browser and needs no account or sign-up. There's no paywall and no tracking — just the airsoft physics you need before a game.
How accurate is an airsoft FPS calculator?▾
The physics behind FPS, joules and energy is exact: E = ½ · m · v². The calculators are accurate for theoretical values, but a real chrono reading will vary slightly with hop-up, barrel losses, air seal, temperature and wear. Always chrono before you play.
What FPS is legal for airsoft?▾
It depends on country and field rules. Many EU countries cap retail replicas at 1 J (~328 FPS with a 0.20 g BB). Most outdoor fields allow AEGs up to about 1.5 J, with DMR and sniper builds higher under minimum engagement distances. Always check your local law and the field rulebook.
How do I convert FPS to joules?▾
Use E = ½ · m · v² with BB mass in kilograms and velocity in metres per second — divide FPS by 3.2808 to get m/s. The joule calculator does the conversion in real time for any spring or BB weight.
Do I need to know my replica's specs to use these tools?▾
Not always. The joule and range calculators only need a chrono reading and BB weight. The spring, battery and rate-of-fire tools work best with a few specs (M-rating, mAh, motor RPM, gear ratio), but each tool ships with sensible presets if you don't know them yet.
